BFA marine

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE - RECALL FOR CORRECTIVE ACTION

Attention BFA Marine(*) has identified some failures of overpressurization valves(**) on leisure life rafts (Models: Atlantic, Pacific, Baltic and BFA/XM Offshore) manufactured between 1997-2006. These BFA leisure life rafts must be immediately checked to determine the integrity of the valves. In the event both overpressurization valves of the 2 independent compartments would happen to fail, the life raft will not function as a lifesaving device, but will instead sink.

IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT OWNERS OF THE IDENTIFIED BFA LEISURE LIFE RAFTS IMMEDIATELY RETURN THEIR RAFTS TO THE NEAREST BFA-APPROVED SERVICE STATION IN ORDER FOR THE OVERPRESSURIZATION VALVES TO BE INSPECTED AND POTENTIALLY REPLACED.

The valve inspection and replacement will be free of charge. Please note that the service stations authorized to perform this recall can be found by clicking "servicing stations" on the left side of this web page. In the event you may have discarded or sold the life raft, we need to know this information, including, in the case of a sale, the buyer's name and address.

This corrective action does not affect the recommended servicing schedule or warranty period on your raft.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and remain available for any questions you may have. Please contact BFA After Sales, or an authorized service station, for additional information on this recall program or to report a discarded or sold life raft.
